I was gonna put off putting yet more fanart/sketching stuff on here; but I’ve been too busy to art until very recently so yeah.
It’s just a quick practice where I tried to see if I could redraw these four in a way that made them all distinct from one another; but at the same time still looked like themselves. Elsa and Anna were the trickiest because I also wanted them to look related.
I found a cool bar near my mum’s work today hidden downstairs next to a suit store and I talked to some chartered accountants and the bartender about the book I was reading and I only just realized that the cocktail I ordered may have been a community reference?
So, you may have noticed that there’s been a slight lack of art here, that’s because My friend and talented artist danilewa and I did a last minute week excursion into filmaking for Kino Sydney's monthly short film festival. It was a hella fun time, and here is our very serious entry.
I was Head of Story on “Clarence” from the beginning.
Obviously Skyler Page sexually assaulted a female artist at CN. Skyler’s a piece of shit, and CN should give him the boot. Emily Partridge is one bad-ass chick for standing up to a guy who a lot of people wanted to cover up for. Skyler’s asshole behavior (though not yet sexual assault) was the main reason I quit the show more than a year ago.
I can’t imagine how fans of the show are feeling right now. But the reason you like Clarence, in spite of it’s creator, is because the “creator” had very little to do with the show. Despite what it says in the credits, Skyler never wrote a single episode of Clarence. It was created by the writers (me and Spencer Rothbell) and the talented board artists (people like Charlie Gavin, Derek & Diana). We took Skyler’s idea of “a fat dumb kid” and made a character out of it. Skyler mostly “kept the couch from floating away”, and read whatever lines we gave him. There’s been enough victims of Skyler Page, don’t punish the talented crew that actually raised Clarence.

Man, this sounds like…EXACTLY the kind of game I wanna play. I wish my comp was the sorta thing that could cope with that (it like, copes with portal2 levels of stuff). I have a real love of body horror when it’s fictional.
just an fyi the reason there hasn’t been much art on here lately is a combo of being super ill, being asked to help in choosing stuff (like exterior/interior colour etc) for my parents new house they’re building ‘cause my mum had to go to melbourne (she came back just in time tho; so a lottas pressure gone from my shoulders!) and having shift in work hours/duties blah blah. I’m still arting, and this is still a mainly art blog; I’ve just not had time for myself really so i’ve been investing in typing and talking on here rather than having the 4+ hours I usually do each night to draw.
mockingbirdss said: ok. i’ll have to suck it up and watch it! it might be like how i was terrified of splicers in bioshock until i actually played it for a while and become more irritated by them than scared. (ie desensitisation)
Well, my suggestion is, if you do, to probably watch the first episode in the daylight; as it does open up on a very standard ‘walking dead’ fanfare. As I said before; there are pepperings of scenes that flashback to the rising, amongst other things; and some gross injuries; but the rest of the time it’s all dandy on that side of the horror fanfare.
However I do think it’s right up your alley!
(I don’t have a comp strong enough for bioshock, are splicer the drill ppl?)

No you really must, it’s soooo good it’s literally in my top ten fave shows!
The zombies (or ‘Partially Deceased Syndrome Sufferers’) aren’t anything like regular zombies they’re the main characters and the whole undead thing is like a metaphor for being a part of a marginalized group; and it feels like a darker version of Being Human but there are some funny stuff in there as well and it has tighter episodes and ‘world rules’ to it (which, to be fair, is a bit easier with 9 episodes).
There are some scenes/flashbacks of ‘The Rising’ which does have scenes of traditional zombie fanfare and other parts where rabid zombies are still around; but for the most part without getting spoilery the zombies aren’t the scary ones and I genuinely recommended it.
